The Registrar of Wigwe University, Ms. Ulonna Inyama, has tragically died under mysterious circumstances in Abuja. Her passing has raised grave concerns about medical negligence and hospital safety standards in Nigeria.
According to family sources, complications from fibroid surgery and a mistaken blood transfusion led to Ms. Inyama’s death. She was initially admitted to an Abuja hospital for fibroid treatment but was reportedly given the wrong blood type, which resulted in a deadly reaction.
“She died of loss of blood due to fibroid complications under mysterious circumstances. We were told that a wrong blood transfusion led to her death,” the family source disclosed. As her condition worsened due to these complications, she was referred to another hospital, where she ultimately passed away.
The family is demanding a comprehensive investigation into the events leading to Ms. Inyama’s death, seeking accountability and justice. This request follows the recent tragedy of Wigwe University’s founder, Herbert Wigwe, who perished in a helicopter crash in California, USA, with his wife and son earlier in February.
